Content, File Types & File Size Information for iWantClips
Artists are able to upload the following types of clips, audios, photos, and documents:
Clips
Formats: MP4, M4V, MOV, WMV and AVI
Size Limit: 3GB
*Kindly note, all clips are converted into the MP4 file format automatically during the uploading processes. It is for this reason that Artists should not upload and market different file types, as they will all convert to MP4 and end up being the exact same file type. Duplicate clips are not allowed to be on the site.
*The site explicitly uses H.264 MP4 format as this is the format that is most commonly used for streaming on all sites, devices, and programs. If you export your clips in a different format, we suggest you use a third-party converter like Handbrake to convert your files to H.264 MP4.
Photos
Formats: JPEG, PNG, and GIF
Size Limit: 25MB
Audios
Formats: MP3
Size Limit: 3GB
Documents
Formats: PDF, DOC, XLS, TXT, XLSX, and DOCX
Size Limits: 3GB
Pay-to-View Messages
Formats: GIF, JPEG, PNG, MOV, MP4, MPEG4, 3GP, AVI, WMV, MPG, MP3, and PDF.
Size Limits: 25MB
If you have larger file sizes that are bigger than 3GB, you can use the SFTP method for uploading. Most browsers will "time out" before a large file is uploaded, which is why there is a limit of 3GB. You can read more on how to upload by SFTP here.
