Twitter/X and Auto-Tweet Issues

We understand the frustration caused by the recent auto-tweet issues following a change in Twitter/X's API, limiting auto-tweets to 100 tweets per user every 15 minutes. This has impacted our platform and other content platforms' ability to schedule and send tweets seamlessly.

Immediate Steps to Mitigate the Issue:

  • Clear the Twitter/X Cache: This can resolve some immediate issues.

  • Reconnect Your Twitter/X Account: Disconnect and then reconnect your Twitter/X account to iWantClips.

  • Prioritize High-ROI Tweets: Our data shows that "new clip" auto-tweets yield the highest ROI. While we address this issue, consider temporarily disabling less impactful auto-tweets.

  • Manual Scheduling: Consider manually scheduling or Tweeting out Auto Tweets, as this is not impacted by the 100 tweets per hour limitations. We have noticed artists who are consistently doing this have not experienced a decrease in sales due to not having their tweets go out.

Understanding Twitter's API Limitations:

  • Twitter/X has daily and monthly tweet limits. Being aware of these can help manage your auto-tweet frequency.

  • In cases where Twitter/X's limits are consistently reached, exploring alternative social media scheduling platforms may be beneficial.
You can schedule Tweets with third-party schedulers such as:
        SproutSocialHootSuite, and Later

Additional Steps for a Smoother Experience:

  • Mark Posts as Sensitive: Utilize Twitter/X’s feature to mark posts as sensitive, reducing the risk of being flagged as spam.

  • Manual Scheduling: In situations of significant platform impact, we recommend prioritizing manual scheduling to ensure the timely delivery of crucial tweets.

Our Commitment:

  • We are actively developing new features and strategies to enhance traffic and engagement for your store.

  • Our team will proactively reach out to artists for personalized support and to address specific concerns.

  • We remain dedicated to finding solutions and workarounds for this issue.

We appreciate your patience and understanding and are grateful for your continued support. Stay tuned for updates as we work to enhance our services and support your success in the digital landscape.

Thank you.
